Hillary Clinton's nascent political action committee could officially launch in a week, Politico reported Thursday.

The PAC is expected to be called "Onward Together" in a nod to the former Democratic presidential candidate's 2016 slogan of "Stronger Together," and she has been working with her campaign's finance director, Dennis Cheng, to reach out to donors, Politico reported.

The PAC will support groups that are taking a stand against President Donald Trump's agenda, Politico reported. Axios has reported the PAC will also aid 2018 congressional candidates.

Politico reported Judith McHale, who served as an undersecretary of state when Clinton headed the State Department, and former Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean, have been focusing on groups to fund.

The former secretary of state has also started to fill out a board that will include longtime ally and party strategist Minyon Moore, Politico reported.
