Claims made by Huma Abedin in an FBI interview and separate sworn deposition in the federal probe of her boss Hillary Clinton's use of a private server "could come back to haunt" the top aide, Fox News reports.

The FBI is now reviewing emails from her estranged husband Anthony Weiner's computer to see if they have any connection to Clinton. Weiner, a former New York congressman, is being separately investigated over allegations he sexted a 15-year-old North Carolina girl.

According to Fox, Abedin swore in a deposition that she turned over all devices she believed involved the State Department, including two laptops, a BlackBerry, and other files.

Abedin's lawyer Karen Dunn said in a statement. "She only learned for the first time on Friday, from press reports, of the possibility that a laptop belonging to Mr. Weiner could contain emails of hers."

The Republican National Committee sent out an email Saturday saying reports about Abedin's past statements now raise questions on whether she had "perjured herself," Fox said.
