Hillary Clinton's former law partner Webb Hubbell tells
Newsmax TV he was in favor of Vice President Joe Biden challenging the former secretary of state for the Democratic presidential nomination.
"I thought Joe entering the race would make Hillary a better candidate," Hubbell, who was assistant attorney general under President Bill Clinton, said Thursday on "The Steve Malzberg Show."

After months of speculation, Biden — who has been in mourning following the death of his son Beau — revealed this week that he had decided not enter the race.
"That's his choice. I understand completely," Hubbell said. "Given what candidates have to go through these days, I can certainly understand not wanting to have to go through it."
Hubbell is author of the novel
"Ginger Snaps: A Jack Patterson Thriller," published by Beaufort Books.
