Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore and late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel waged a Twitter feud Thursday stemming from sexual misconduct allegations leveled at Moore.
The saga began Wednesday, when Kimmel sent a comedian to cover a Moore campaign event. That comedian interrupted the event to call Moore, a former Alabama Chief Justice, a "man's man" and asked if he looks "like the face of a molester," Mediaite reported.
Kimmel tweeted about the fiasco Thursday, which prompted a lengthy back-and-forth between the pair.
Multiple women have accused Moore of either sexual harassment or sexual assault. Some said he pursued teenage girls at an Alabama mall 40 years ago when Moore was in his early 30s.
Moore is running against Democrat Doug Jones in a Dec. 12 special election that will determine who occupies the seat once held by Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
