Former Fox News chairman Roger Ailes struck back with a rebuttal Monday, releasing a statement saying he categorically denies the accusations levied by Megyn Kelly in her new book.
Kelly, who's previewing her memoir titled "Settle For More" on the "Dr. Phil" show on Tuesday, said Ailes' harassment of her began just 12 months after she started working at Fox. Kelly claims, for one, that Ailes said he'd like to see her in one of her "very sexy bras."
Ailes, who has repeatedly denied Kelly's accusations, did so again.
"I categorically deny the allegations Megyn Kelly makes about me," Ailes said in the statement reported by numerous outlets.
"I worked tirelessly to promote and advance her career, as Megyn herself admitted to Charlie Rose. Watch that interview and then decide for yourself. My attorneys have restricted me from commenting further - so suffice it to say that no good deed goes unpunished."
Ailes resigned from Fox amid sexual harassment allegations from host Gretchen Carlson that resulted in a $20 million settlement payout from the network.
