Sen. Lindsey Graham is getting along much better with President Donald Trump nowadays, as evidenced by a tweet the South Carolina Republican sent out Tuesday afternoon following a White House meeting.
Graham met with Trump to talk about an issue they agree on: increased funding for the military.
But things have not always been so rosy between the two. Graham made a longshot bid for the GOP presidential nomination himself, and was none too impressed with Trump's style, calling him a "nut job" who would lose the general election by a large amount
Trump responded by revealing Graham's cell phone number during a campaign rally in South Carolina. The senator was forced to change his number. And he made a campaign video of himself destroying the old standard phone, which he then replaced with a smartphone.
But with Trump now in the Oval Office and an ally on at least some issues, Graham appears to trust leader of the free world not to repeat that.
