She's still the Democratic presidential frontrunner, but Hillary Clinton's lead has dropped to 10 percent, according to a new
CNN/ORC poll.
Her lead over top Republicans in hypothetical matchups has been erased.
Clinton comes in at 37 percent support to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders' 27 percent and Vice President Joe Biden's 20 percent, according to the poll. Biden has yet to announce whether he will run.
Most of Clinton's support appears to have gone to Biden, who is up 6 points from a month ago. Sanders' support has remained about the same.
As for the rest of the field, Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley is at 3 percent, former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb is at 2 percent, and former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee is at less than 1 percent.
Clinton now trails Republicans in theoretical general election contests. Neurosurgeon Ben Carson beats her 51-46 percent, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush bests her 49-47 percent, and businessman Donald Trump is tied with Clinton at 48 percent.
The poll talked to 1,012 adult Americans by telephone on September 4-8. The margin of error on the total sample is plus or minus 3 percentage point.
