Convicted murderer Charles Manson, who is currently serving nine concurrent life sentences behind bars, has reportedly been hospitalized.
According to TMZ, Manson departed California's Corcoran State Prison Tuesday and is now at a hospital in Bakersfield, roughly an hour's drive from the prison.
The 82-year-old Manson has been imprisoned for his role in nine murders since 1971.
Manson and his group of followers, known as the Manson Family, committed the murders during a span of five weeks in 1969. The group's most notable victim was actress Sharon Tate, who was married to Hollywood director Roman Polanski.
