A new documentary looks at the Antifa movement and the impact it's had on conservatives across the country — and the film concludes that the group stands for what it claims to oppose.

Short for Anti-Fascist Action, Antifa has appeared at countless rallies in the United States this year and is known for its violent attacks on conservatives and others who it says are against it. In reality, however, the Capital Research Center's film "America Under Siege: Antifa" accuses the group of being fascist.

"Antifa is an organization that claims to fight fascism, but is actually the most fascist organization probably in the United States," conservative commentator Milo Yiannopoulos said in the film.

Said journalist and free speech activist Lauren Southern: "They believe that right-wingers need to be stopped by any means necessary. There are plenty of stories of the homes of 'fascists' being raided and their things being smashed."

The film will premiere Monday ahead of "Free Speech Week" at the University of California Berkley and will stream on YouTube and DangerousDocumentaries.com.

The film's producer Jake Klein said the documentary "delves into the origins and goals of the radical Antifa movement. While Antifa has garnered significant media coverage in recent weeks, very few Americans truly understand the movement's motivations and history. Our new film represents the most in-depth look yet at America's most infamous modern-day movement and its disturbing impact on American society."

It was reported earlier this month that under former President Barack Obama, the Department of Homeland Security classified Antifa's actions as "domestic terrorist violence" last year.
