Donald Trump is running ahead of Florida Sen. Marco Rubio in three new polls in his home state, casting a shadow over Rubio as the race approaches that will likely decide if he stays in the race for the GOP presidential nomination, reports

In the latest polls:
Overall, Real Clear Politics reports that Trump is ahead in Florida by 14.7 points:
- Trump: 39.9 percent;
- Rubio, 25.2 percent;
- Ted Cruz, 18.2 percent;
- John Kasich, 8.6 percent.
In the Ledger poll, by the numbers:
- Women: Rubio over Trump, 37-29 percent;
- Men: Trump over Rubio, 42-24 percent;
- Hispanics: Rubio, 62-24 percent;
- Polk County (Ledger coverage area), Trump, 35-29 percent;
- Five state regions: Rubio took one, South East Florida, 42-27 percent;
- Age categories: 65 and older, Rubio, 39-32 percent. Other age groups took Trump.
The Ledger poll, conducted March 7-9, questioned 1,200 registered voters, including 700 Republicans and 500 Democrats and carried a margin of 3.8 points among Republicans.
The Trafalgar group poll was conducted March 8-9, of 1,280 likely Republican voters, and carried a margin of error of 2.83 percent, and revealed that Trump claimed voters in all age groups except for one, and the Florida Times Union Poll, conducted March 9, used 590 voters, with a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
