Christie Grabs Key NH Newspaper Endorsement

The New Hampshire Union Leader has endorsed New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in that state's first-in-the-nation primary.

In an editorial headlined, "For our safety, our future," the newspaper cites Christie's time as a federal prosecutor taking on terrorists in the courtroom.

"We don't need another fast-talking, well-meaning freshman U.S. senator trying to run the government," the publisher Joseph W. McQaid wrote. "We don't need as President some well-meaning person from the private sector who has no public experience."

Christie is a pro-life conservative who has successfully governed liberal New Jersey, taking on public unions and winning a second term.
