Since 2010, medical marijuana has been legal in the state of Arizona. Now, Arizona’s new governor Doug Ducey may follow in the footsteps (and chase the dollar bills) of Colorado, which recorded a $700 million in sales of marijuana after legalizing weed.

The Arizona governor pointed to “nearly $50 million in potential tax revenue [from legalizing marijuana] that could offset a looming $1 billion budget shortfall,” USA Today reported.
