Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, and Cory Monteith will all graduate from “Glee” high school after season 3, reports
CBS.
In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Ryan Murphy, creator of “Glee,” revealed that the show had no plans for a post graduate or college storyline.
Referring to the upperclassmen stars of the TV musical hit, Murphy said, “You can keep them on the show for six years and people will criticize you for not being realistic, or you can be really true to life and say when they started the show they were very clearly sophomores and they should graduate at the end of their senior year.”
Murphy has said in the past that he and his fellow writers “thought it would be really cool if we were true to the timeline.”
To keep the storyline moving, the show has continually added new breakout stars like Darren Criss and Chord Overstreet to fill the roles of graduating seniors.
