“The Adventures of Robin Hood”

Variety said of Hood, “It is cinematic pageantry at its best, a highly imaginative telling of folklore in all the hues of Technicolor.”

“The Dark Knight”
This movie is credited with reinventing superhero movies, and it pushed director Christopher Nolan into the film world’s mainstream consciousness. It’s been called the greatest superhero movie ever made, and indeed it very well may be. With thrilling adventure scenes, a riveting plot, and an all-time great performance by Heath Ledger as The Joker, it’s no wonder

“The Terminator”
Another 100% rating on the Tomatometer gets “The Terminator” a place on this list of top classic adventure movies. Terminator launched the career of Arnold Schwarzenegger into the stratosphere. The critical consensus for the film reads, “With its impressive action sequences, taut economic direction, and relentlessly fast pace, it's clear why The Terminator continues to be an influence on sci-fi and action flicks.”
