A photo of Judge Amy Coney Barrett holding up her notepad during her Supreme Court confirmation hearing before Congress has inspired a torrent of memes, Newsweek reports.

During the hearing, Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, asked Barrett to hold up any material she was using to prepare to answer the Senate Judiciary Committee's questions, prompting her to hold up a blank notepad.

Comedian Kathy Griffin, who once held up a mock bloody, severed head of President Donald Trump, tweeted the picture with the caption: "Judge Amy Coney Barrett holds up photo of her brain scan."

Sierra Club tweeted, "What Amy Coney Barrett's notepad should really say. #SCOTUShearing," and added to the notepad the text: "delay this until the inauguration."

The nonprofit Freedom From Religion Foundation added, "Trump's Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett held up her notepad during today's confirmation hearing," with the notepad showing the headline "chopping block" and a bullet-point list including, "Healthcare, Roe v. Wade, State/Church Separation, Marriage Equality."
