Legendary musician Tom Petty was on life support Monday after a massive heart attack led to him being found unconscious Sunday night at his home in Malibu, California, TMZ reported.
EMTs who found Petty unconscious and unresponsive were able to get a pulse and he was put on life support at Santa Monica Hospital, TMZ reported. He was in critical condition when he was found.
An update by TMZ Monday reported no brain activity was found upon evaluation at the hospital and that Petty was removed from life support. The outlet further said he was still "clinging to life" around 1:30 PT but is not expected to make it through the day.
