Ric Flair is "awake, communicating, and progressing," his manager said Saturday, after the WWE legend was hospitalized for "tough medical issues."
Flair was hospitalized Aug. 12 after a routine test gave way to some more serious problems regarding his health. He was placed in intensive care in Atlanta for heart-related issues, but no other details pertaining to his health were given at the time.
A few days later doctors found the 68-year-old was suffering from "multiple organ problems," Flair's fiancee said Thursday, and they listed him in critical condition.
As of Saturday, Flair's manager said the 16-time world wrestling champion was doing better. Melinda Morris Zanoni, CEO of Legacy Talent and Entertainment, took to Twitter Saturday to announce the news, adding that "for the first time in 40 years," Flair must rest.
She went into more detail in a post on Facebook, urging the public to not "believe everything you read."
Flair underwent surgery on Aug. 14, but details about the type of procedure have yet to be shared.
