Trump Says He'll Make 'Major Statement' on Russia on Monday

President Donald Trump told NBC News on Thursday that he will make a "major statement" on Russia on Monday, without elaborating on what that might entail.

In recent days, Trump has expressed frustration with Russian President Vladimir Putin over Russia's war in Ukraine and Putin's apparent unwillingness to fully commit to a peace process.

"I think I'll have a major statement to make on Russia on Monday," Trump told NBC News, declining to elaborate.

D.C. lawmakers have been prepping legislation on sanctions against Putin's Russia as peace efforts grind on.
