The leader of the House Democratic Caucus said Thursday two lawmakers in his party under fire for sexual misconduct allegations should resign.

Rep. Joe Crowley, D-N.Y., told Politico that Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., and Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., should step down from their jobs.

"I think it's time for Sen. Franken to go," Crowley said. "In my opinion, I think it's time for John to resign. And I think under the circumstances, given the new revelations about the senator as well, I think it's time for both of them to go."

Six women have reportedly accused Franken of some sort of either sexual harassment or sexual assault, including a woman who provided a photo that depicted Franken with his hands either on her chest while she slept or right above it.

Four women have claimed Conyers sexually harassed and/or assaulted them, allegations the 88-year-old Conyers said he would fight.

House Majority Leader Paul Ryan and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi both said Thursday that Conyers needs to resign from Congress because of the growing scandal. Several other lawmakers have said the same.
