Former South Carolina GOP Gov. Mark Sanford has raised more than $330,000 for his congressional campaign in the state’s First District, according to his campaign officials.

The Republican primary will be held March 19 for the seat vacated by Tim Scott when he was named senator.

As for Sanford, he has $365,000 in cash and has spent $90,000 so far, The Hill reports.

Sanford is famous for being a low-budget candidate and already has extensive name recognition throughout the state.
