With more "completely unacceptable" North Korean provocations being carried out Sunday, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin said Sunday it is no longer time for talk but action, and he is drafting a new, stronger sanctions plan saying whoever does business with North Korea cannot do business with us.
"It's clear that this behavior is completely unacceptable," Mnuchin tells "Fox News Sunday" with Chris Wallace. "We've already started with sanctions against North Korea, but I am going to draft a sanctions package to send to the president for his strong consideration.
"That anyone who wants to do trade or business with them will be prevented from doing trade or business with us."
Mnuchin added there is a lot the United States can do to cut off North Korea economically, more than already has been done, and "president has made it clear this isn't the time for just talk, this is time for action."
"People need to cut off North Korea economically, this is unacceptable behavior," he said, adding "obviously we will be working with our allies and others to cut off North Korea economically."
Mnuchin also pointed to President Donald Trump's renegotiations with South Korea on trade, because the U.S. military protections for it do not come cheap.
