An organization funded in part by liberal billionaire George Soros plans to mark the 100th day of President Donald Trump's time in office with a march in Washington, The Washington Times reported Friday.
The People's Climate March will take place on Saturday along Pennsylvania Avenue, ending at the White House in order to "drown out all of the climate-denying nonsense that has been coming out of this administration," the newspaper explained.
Soros has contributed over $36 million between 2000 and 2014 to 18 of the 55 organizations on the march's steering committee, according to information released by the Media Research Center. The report stated that only a handful of organizations represented on the steering committee "actually have anything climate-related in their individual missions."
Organizers are billing the event as highlighting "climate, jobs and justice," and participants are expected to represent labor-union rights, proponents of increasing the minimum wage and immigration rights activists, in addition supporters of climate-related causes.
The march comes one week after the March for Science last Saturday.
