Attendees of the Democratic National Convention just can’t stop themselves from bringing up the Third Reich when talking about Republicans.

When questioning the veracity of vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan’s speech at the Republican National Convention two delegates referenced Adolf Hitler and Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels for their comments on the effectiveness of repeating the Big Lie.

Now, South Carolina Democratic Chairman Dick Harpootlian has gotten Hitler’s mistress Evan Braun into the conversation.

The South Carolina newspaper, The State, reports that Harpootlian was discussing Gov. Nikki Haley’s press briefing from a basement studio at the NASCAR Hall of Fame when he said, “She was down in the bunker a la Eva Braun.”
