On Saturday, Mitt Romney delivered the commencement speech at Southern Virginia University and offered the graduating class some unique life advice, reports the Washington Post.

The former GOP presidential candidate advised students to get married while in their 20’s and have babies – lots of them.

“Launch out into the deep and your nets will be filled. Now how do you do that? Well getting married is one way of launching into the deep,” Romney said.

"Some people could marry but take more time, they say, for themselves," Romney continued.

“They plan to wait until they're well into their thirties or forties before they think about getting married. They're going to miss so much of living, I'm afraid,” Romney said.

Romney spoke from experience. He married his wife Ann at the age of 22.

The former Governor of Massachusetts referenced passages from the Bible many times during his speech.

“From the beginning of recorded time, the prophet Adam told us this life secret. 'Therefore shall a man leave his mother and his father and shall cleave on to his wife,' " Romney said.

Romney also encouraged the students to have “a quiver full of children.”
