The demonstrators plan to meet Monday at 10 a.m. at Perry Harvey Sr. Park They will hear from dozens of speakers before marching peacefully toward the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

"In just a few days, thousands of protesters will be in Tampa to say no to the Republican agenda of war, poverty and oppression," organizer Jerod Hamil told Bay News 9.

Hamil told the Tampa Bay Times that while organizers cannot stop any protesters from violent actions such as breaking windows or throwing rocks, the coalition does not endorse such tactitcs.

"If people choose to do a different type of tactic, we ask that they separate (themselves) by time and space," Hamil said. "What we're doing on Aug. 27 is a permitted peaceful march.”
