Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky will deliver the tea party's response to President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address on Tuesday.

The Tea Party Express political action committee said Friday that Paul would deliver its response at the National Press Club, Politico reports. It will be streamed live on its website.

The GOP congressman will follow Florida Sen. Marco Rubio’s official Republican Party response. Rubio will deliver the official response in both English and Spanish. He and Paul are supported by the tea party.

“We are happy to see that the Republicans have selected tea party conservative Sen. Marco Rubio to deliver their response,” Tea Party Express Chairman Amy Kremer said in a statement to Politico.

“Both Senator Rubio and Senator Paul will articulate pro-growth messages that will resonate with the American people.”
