Some of President Barack Obama’s largest Hispanic donors are starting an organization focusing on passing comprehensive immigration reform.

The group, whose leaders include actress Eva Longoria, is based out of The Futuro Fund, a national initiative of Hispanic leaders who helped re-elect Obama, Politico reports.

Other organizers include San Antonio architect Henry Muñoz, a top Latino bundler for Obama who is heading up the effort, and Andres Lopez, a bundler in Puerto Rico who is a member of the Democratic National Committee.

The group hopes to develop a strong social media presence that would pressure Congress into acting on immigration reform –and to ensure that the organization and enthusiasm of Hispanic voters continue after the election.

“The conversation is about the importance of continuing the Futuro movement,” Muñoz told Politico. “What has seemed to have happened in the past is to build something, and the election was treated as the end. We do have a voice, and it’s not only in votes. We want to activate donors, investors and not let it go away, and reactivate it in four years and only with a partisan aspect.”
