Glenn Thrush, The New York Times' White House correspondent, has signed with MSNBC to be a contributor, The Hill reports.
In his new role, he will provide analysis for MSNBC out of the news network's Washington, D.C. bureau, according to the website. He is a former Politico reporter who joined the Times following the presidential election.
The Hill noted Thrush made headlines last year when it was revealed in WikiLeaks email dumps he had shared stories in advance with certain Clinton campaign officials.
He was recently portrayed by comedian Bobby Moynihan in a "Saturday Night Live" sketch, which spoofed a White House press briefing led by Melissa McCarthy playing press secretary Sean Spicer.
"Just by show of hands, who hates Glenn?" McCarthy asked the actors portraying the White House press corps during the skit.
Thrush had previously worked for Newsday, The Observer and Bloomberg News, Adweek reported.
