Actor Samuel L. Jackson expressed disappointment Monday that Hurricane Isaac didn’t wreak more havoc on the Republican convention in Tampa and then apologized afterward.

Jackson, who starred in the cult classic Pulp Fiction, expressed his thoughts via Twitter. The first tweet read: “Unfair S---t: GOP spared by Issac ! NOLA prolly F-----d Again! Not understanding God's plan!”

The follow-up stated: "Daayum! Poked a Hornets nest, hunh? Apologies to God, Tampa, da GOP& Isaac(sp)! Who played the Race card?!"

Most of the convention’s day one events were delayed to Tuesday from Monday because of the storm.

Jackson wasn’t the only Hollywood star to wish ill will on the confab via Twitter. Ellen Barkin re-tweeted hateful thoughts from one of her followers Sunday. That missive said: “C’mon #Isaac! Wash every pro-life, anti-education, anti-woman, xenophobic, gay-bashing, racist SOB right into the ocean! #RNC.”

After some of Barkin’s followers noted those thoughts were more than a tad inhumane, the star of The Big Easy put the onus on Michelle Malkin’s web site Twitchy for reporting the tweet. But Twitchy hadn’t even mentioned the posting yet.
