Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is making her Internet video channel free and will no longer charge for a subscription to viewers.
SarahPalinChannel.com, which was launched a year ago, will no longer charge subscribers to view content starting Aug. 1. Palin made the announcement on July Fourth on the website,
Mediaite is reporting.
All the content will also be available for free on Palin's Facebook page and on SarahPac.com.
Palin explained in a video message that the changes are being made to reach more viewers as the 2016 presidential election approaches.
"I just want to make sure your voices, and mine, are heard by the widest possible audience across this great land of ours," she said.

"It is an honor to have you subscribe, really it's been so illuminating and still is so illuminating to read and to respond to many of your insightful comments about current events, about so many things going on in our world today," Palin added.
In a message to subscribers, Palin said that those who paid $99.95 for an annual subscription will be refunded for the remainder of the year. Those who have a monthly subscription will not need to do anything.
Annual subscribers also have the option of rolling the balance "into one of the other channels on our network."
