Rev. Billy Graham showed his solidarity with embattled Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy by enjoying a meal from the chain at his home today.

Mr. Graham had a chicken sandwich, waffle fries, iced tea, and a chocolate milkshake, a spokesperson for Graham confirmed to Newsmax.

Graham has previously offered his support for Cathy after he was thrown into the media spotlight for his comments on gay marriage, saying the company was “guilty as charged” when it came to supporting a Biblical definition of marriage.

Graham has called Chick-fil-A one of the “best businesses in America” that doesn’t compromise its values.

“Chick-fil-A serves each of its customers with excellence, and treats everyone like a neighbor. It’s easy to see why it has become so popular across America . . . Each generation faces different issues and challenges, but our standard must always be measured by God’s word. I appreciate the Cathy family’s public support for God’s definition of marriage.”

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a Baptist minister and supporter of the restaurant chain, declared today national “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.”
