The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) confiscated three inert grenades, 38 loaded guns, six pounds of black powder, and even a sword in a single week.

“We continue to find inert hand grenades and other weaponry on weekly basis. Please keep in mind that if an item looks like a bomb, grenade, mine, etc., it is prohibited — real or not,” states The TSA Blog on Friday. “When these items are found at a checkpoint, they can cause significant delays. I know they are cool novelty items, but it is best not to take them on a plane.”

The agency reports that two of the inert grenades were taken in San Francisco while a third was confiscated in Norfolk, Va..

Meanwhile, agents confiscated the black powder in Grand Junction.

“While resolving an explosives alarm at Grand Junction (GJT), TSA Officers discovered three, 2 lb. cans of black powder, detonation cords, and a timing fuse,” officials report. “The passenger stated he was transporting property from his father’s home, which was used to remove tree stumps.”

The cane sword was discovered in Albuquerque, N.M., according to officials, while five stun guns were taken from carry-on bags in San Francisco, New York, Birmingham, Ala., and Denver.

The agency also reports that it confiscated a total of 38 loaded and nine unloaded guns at various airports between Sept.14 and Sept. 20.

“Unfortunately these sorts of occurrences are all too frequent which is why we talk about these finds,” TSA officials state. “Sure, it’s great to share the things that our officers are finding, but at the same time, each time we find a dangerous item, the throughput is slowed down and a passenger that likely had no ill intent ends up with a citation or in some cases is even arrested.”
