POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) — A new poll released a month before the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks finds worry about another terrorist assault in New York City is at its lowest point since the 2001 annihilation of the World Trade Center.

The NY1-Marist Poll released Thursday found 49 percent of the New York City residents polled were concerned there might be another attack, 32 percent were "worried" and 17 percent were "very worried." The poll found that 53 percent felt their lives had returned to normal since the attacks, while 36 percent said their lives would never be the same.

The telephone poll questioned 808 adults from July 20 to July 27. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
