Reed, college, website, scamOfficials at Reed College in Portland fear the clone, which promotes a fictitious “University of Redwood,” is the work of an overseas a scammer trying to rake in fees from unsuspecting applicants in Asian countries.

Reed briefly got the “Redwood” doppelganger shut down. But the website’s host, Go Daddy, let it back online after a brief inquiry.
