Although she could not “offer guarantees,” U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano on Wednesday said the United States is “stronger” and “more secure against” the type of attacks that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001,
reports CNSNews.com.
“There is no question but that our country is stronger and more secure against that type of attack than it was a decade ago,” said Napolitano, addressing the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on the verge of the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
The Chamber was hosting an event called “The State of Homeland Security Since 9/11: Looking Back, Looking Forward.”
“We have bounced back,” Napolitano continued. “We have bounced back very strongly from what was the worst attack ever on our soil. We have made progress on every front to protect ourselves.”
