There is a war on women but it is not coming from the Republicans. Instead, it is coming from the Obama administration and they are attacking female workers, said talk radio host Rush Limbaugh.

“The real war on women is being conducted by the regime, by the Obama administration,” Limbaugh said Monday. “Since Barack Obama took office, the unemployment rate for women has gone up from 7 to 8.1 percent. Since Obama took office, the number of female workers has declined by 683,000.

"Since Obama took office, the number of women unemployed has increased by 850,000, close to a million. The poverty rate among women rose to 14.5 percent last year. Up from 13.9 percent. ... It happens to be the highest rate for poverty in women in 17 years.”

“If there is a war on women, it is happening and it is being directed from the White House with Obama as the generalissimo.”

This is just another example in a string of incidents where things are not going the way Obama wanted them to, including Obama’s failed attack on the Supreme Court, said Limbaugh.

A newly released Rasmussen Poll shows that the Supreme Court’s approval rating is the highest in two years. Following the oral arguments on Obamacare, 41 percent of likely voters now rate the Supreme Court’s performance as “good” or “excellent.” That is up 13 points since March.

“Obama has been trying to make people despise the court, distrust the court,” Limbaugh said. “It’s like everything else in reality that’s happening to Obama: it’s going the wrong direction.

“This means they have lost their war on the Supreme Court” and “it’s back to the drawing board for Obama and [senior Obama campaign adviser David ] Axelrod.”

Limbaugh said the Obama administration and its supporters want the American people to think that the country is in decline because capitalism has failed us but that is not the case. We are in decline because of “Obamaism.”

“I don’t believe we’re in decline,” Limbaugh said. “I think we’re in shackles.

“What Obama and the Democrats want you to believe is that we are in structural decline because of the failure of capitalism. We are not. We are in decline because of Obamaism. We are in decline because Obama is shrinking the private sector. We are in decline because Obama is spending us into debt, taxing us into debt. He is taxing everyone into mediocrity.”
