A 20-year-old man faces charges of threatening the president for comments he made during Barack Obama’s visit last week to Miami.

Joaquin Serrapio of West Miami, who was arrested on Feb. 24, is charged with threats against the president and successors to the presidency, Secret Service spokesman Brian Leary told the Miami Herald.

Obama visited Florida on Feb. 23, when he spoke at the University of Miami’s BankUnited Center in Coral Cables and attended two fundraising receptions, one at the Biltmore Hotel and another at a private home.

Leary did not disclose the nature of the alleged threat. “This is what we call a protective intelligence case, meaning we don’t comment any further,” he told the Herald.
