Sept. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Power failures are being reported across “the entire San Diego County,” stalling traffic on freeways and emergency response communications systems, Vicki Adkins, an administrative aide for the San Diego Fire Department, said in a telephone interview.

“We’re having trouble communicating with some medics in the field,” Adkins said. “I don’t think we have an answer as to why or anything else right now. But I’m looking at freeways completely stalled.”
