"Glass," a new film by M. Night Shyamalan, was revealed as the sequel to his films "Split" and "Unbreakable." The film will be the last of the trilogy and is set to hit theaters in January 2019.

The director said "Glass" will bring the other two films together, sort of like a collision, to put the finishing touches on the movie trilogy and bring back actors like Samuel L. Jackson and Bruce Willis, who both starred in "Unbreakable" in 2000, according to the Guardian.

James McAvoy, the actor who starred in "Split," will be returning for the sequel as well.

Shyamalan unveiled the upcoming film on Twitter.

According to Science Fiction, "Unbreakable" was one of Shyamalan’s most successful films, and it’s been deemed "one of the greatest comic book movies that wasn’t based on an actual comic book."

Shyamalan, who directed "The Sixth Sense," experienced a minor setback in terms of the success of his work following "Unbreakable," but he came back on the scene with vengeance after he released "Split" and "The Visit."

He also has a hit TV series, "Wayward Pines," which has been well received.

According to Variety, "Unbreakable" grossed just under $250 million when it came out in 2000 and "Split" did even better, racking in $275 million.
