A new super PAC set up to support the presidential candidacy of Newt Gingrich released its first ad Monday.

The television spot presents the former House Speaker as a “proven conservative leader” who cut taxes, created jobs, and reformed welfare.

Although the group, Winning Our Future, has not yet purchased television airtime, it intends to do so.

“We will be using the video in an ad but the buy has not yet been determined,” spokesman John Grimaldi indicated in a released statement.

It will apparently be difficult to find any television airtime available in Iowa in the two weeks left before the caucuses take place; this is largely due to the fact that the broadcast airwaves have been bought up by the presidential campaigns of Gingrich’s opponents and the super PACs that support them.

Gingrich will be in need of a well-financed super PAC to assist him as he struggles to survive an onslaught of negative ads from the campaigns of Mitt Romney and Ron Paul.

Although other super PACs were involved in the fundraising effort for the Gingrich campaign, Winning Our Future has become the preferred entity for substantial donors.

Winning the Future’s first ad is similar to the message in an earlier TV ad titled “We Deserve Solutions,” which the Gingrich campaign released in Iowa last week, the campaign’s second spot to run in the state.

In the ad, Gingrich speaks of “others” who are “more focused on attacks rather than moving the country forward.”

“That’s up to them,” Gingrich says in the ad.
