The toppling of Libya and the killing of its leader, Moammar Gadhafi, will lead to the institution of Sharia law in the region — and the White House knows it, Rush Limbaugh charged Monday. Limbaugh said he has predicted since March the Libyan rebels will embrace radical Islam.

“There is so much audio where I warn everybody we don’t know who these Libyan rebels are/were,” he said on his radio show prior to playing a series of clips. “So I think our side did know it. If I could predict it, they could predict it. They know what was going on.”

President Barack Obama seized the opportunity to take out Gadhafi “just to show that we could get rid of him,” Limbaugh said.

“Obama ran to the front of this mob like he did with the Egyptian mob . . . but most of America — thanks to 9/11 — knows all too well what radical Islam is,” he said. “It’s hostile to women, gays, Christians, and Jews.”
Any hope of Libya developing into a safer, more democratic country is nonsense, he said.

“Saying that they’re hoping for a wonderful, democratic outcome is the same thing as them trying to tell us their stimulus plan was going to create private-sector jobs,” he said. “They knew neither was true.”
