Republican Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann’s campaign staff is going through an overhaul, which is creating concern over the viability of her presidential bid, Politico reports.

Bachmann’s campaign manager Ed Rollins will shift from overseeing the campaign on a daily basis to a senior advisory role, while his deputy, David Polyansky, is leaving. Both played important roles in Bachmann’s Iowa Straw Poll victory Aug. 13.

Rollins said he down-shifted his involvement due to health concerns.

But Polyansky had “strategic differences on the path forward” with Bachmann, whose campaign has struggled to maintain momentum since the Iowa victory, a GOP source familiar with the situation told Politico.

Bachmann advance man Keith Nahigian will now take over as campaign manager.
