President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin are expected to have a sit-down Friday on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in Vietnam, ABC News reported.
The potential meeting is not on Trump's public schedule for his first day in the city of Da Nang, ABC News noted, but a Kremlin spokesman said Thursday the meeting was likely to take place then, even though format and timing were being worked out, ABC News reported.
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson stopped short of confirming the sit-down, saying it was "still under consideration."
Trump himself went a lot further, telling reporters as he set off on his 11-day Asia trip last week: "I think it's expected we'll meet with Putin, yeah," ABC News reported.
