With the Supreme Court’s decision on President Barack Obama’s healthcare law expected in days, officials in the White House and Congress are preparing for the unexpected. In a town notorious for leaks, no one knows when exactly the court will rule or how, The Washington Post reported.

Nonetheless, both sides are strategizing for the ruling that could come next week.
Congressional Republicans are working with GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney to coordinate a message and, should part of the law be struck down, plan to attempt to repeal what remains. House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, issued a memo to Republican members that offered a key talking point.

“Republicans will not repeat the Democrats’ mistakes. We won’t rush to pass a massive bill the American people don’t support,” the memo said according to the Post.

The White House and the Department of Health and Human Services has publicly gone about its business as if the law will be upheld, rolling out new programs and regulations for the law. However, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius recently acknowledged the possibility exits. “We’ll be ready for court contingencies,” she said recently according to the Post.
