Marco Rubio offered some lighthearted advice to Rand Paul on how to deftly maneuver a filibuster: “Keep some water nearby.”

Rubio came to the floor in defense of his colleague several hours into the Kentucky Republican’s filibuster blocking John Brennan’s confirmation vote to head the CIA., reports Politico.

“I know you’ve been here a while. Let me give you some advice: Keep some water nearby. Trust me,” Rubio said, making light of the now infamous moment during his State of the Union response last month when he darted off camera to take a sip out of a water bottle.
