The numbers for third-quarter presidential fundraising are starting to leak out. A Ron Paul campaign staffer told
Politico that the Texas GOP representative hauled in $8 million during the third quarter.
That’s less than half the $17.1 million that an aide to Rick Perry said the Texas governor garnered last quarter, even though he didn’t officially enter the campaign until Aug. 13.
But the Paul aide said Paul has attracted more than 100,000 donors — five times as many as Perry.
