Mitt Romney is spending campaign cash faster than he is raising it, his campaign records show and Politico.com reports.

Romney’s campaign and an super PAC that supports him raised  $13.1 million in January, but spent $32.7 million at the same time, an astounding spending figure.

A long and protracted GOP fight could leave the presumed frontrunner weakened financially if he has to face President Barack Obama. He is seeing his momentum slow after his win in New Hampshire and oss in South Carolina.

Despite the spending spree, Romney's campaign and the affiliated super PAC have some $24 million left, far more than his three rivals combined.
