Mitt Romney's campaign killed an ad made by the RNC that would have attacked President Barack Obama over his handling over the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

ABC News
obtained a copy of the ad that never ran, saying that Romney's people didn't want to air it because they feared it would take attention off the economy.

The ad starts with Hillary Clinton's "3 a.m. phone call" ad from the 2008 campaign with the words "Remember This Ad?" and an announcer saying, "It's 3 a.m. and your children are safe and asleep. But there's a phone in the White House and it's ringing. Something's happening in the world."

The ad then fades to video of the Benghazi mission in flames with the words "The Call Came … On September 12, 2012" superimposed.

The screen goes black and the words continue: “Security Requests Denied. Four Americans Dead. And an Administration Whose Story is Still Changing. The Call Came." A ringing phone plays in the background. After a disconnection sound, a busy signal takes over. "Americans Deserve Answers" is the final caption.

Clinton's original ad questioned whether her then-rival Obama had the leadership ability to handle a world crisis. Republicans are currently attacking her, saying she didn't properly handle the Benghazi attack.
