Conservative commentator Charles Krauthammer last week called Attorney General Jeff Sessions a "wounded man walking," but revised that Monday, saying he had not gone far enough.

"I would revise that after the tweet [Monday] from [President Donald] Trump," Krauthammer said on Fox News Channel's "Special Report." "I think he's an extremely, dangerously wounded man walking."

Krauthammer was referring to a tweet in which Trump said the "beleaguered" Sessions should be looking into Democrat Hillary Clinton and her ties to Russia.

The only reason Trump referred to Sessions as he did was "because he wants his resignation," Krauthammer said. "And it seems to me that he'll get it soon."

Trump is said to be extremely angry with Sessions for recusing himself from the investigation into Russian attempts to influence the presidential election. When Sessions stepped aside, it opened the door for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to appoint special counsel Robert Mueller to probe Russia, including meetings between Russian officials and members of Trump's campaign team.
