Some 55 percent of likely voters favor repeal of President Barack Obama’s signature healthcare law. The number is in line with polls taken since the law passed in March 2010 that have consistently showed public support for repeal, polls by
Rasmussen Reports show.
Support for repeal has been as high as 62 percent while opposition to repeal has ranged from 32 percent to 44 percent. The latest poll also showed that 56 percent of voters believe healthcare costs will go up under the new law.
The 1,000 likely voters also found that 55 percent believe it will increase the federal budget deficit. The number is the highest since last June. Just 13 percent say the law will reduce the deficit.
